This small shop is a celebration of native plants and the local pollinators they support, including insects and birds. All seeds are native to the United States, foster ecological life, and are grown in gardens in Brooklyn and Newburgh, NY. All seed packages are block printed by hand; each features a different plant or animal relationship that you can encourage in your home garden. All seeds are germination tested by the NY State Seed Lab, and shipping is available to states friendly to small scale native plant seed producers (currently AR, CA, DE, IN, IA, KS, LA, MA, MI, MT, NM, NY, OR, RI, TN, and UT). Host Plant Seeds was created to celebrate biodiversity, expand food webs, and bring joy, one seed at a time. Please reach out with any questions or suggestions - I personally grow all the species sold here, and love talking plants, seed saving, and germination.
